Welcome to the Lynn Jones Foundation Webpage
Established in 2005, the Lynn Jones Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides grants, scholarships and financial assistance to schools, civic groups and other youth enrichment initiatives that promote wholesome lifestyles and responsible decision-making among today's children and youth.
Peer pressure, a lack of parental support and limited socioeconomics can lead impressionable teens or preteens to at-risk behaviors like truancy, inconsistant study habits, poor grades, substance abuse, disrespect toward authority and in-school or gang violence. These are the young people the Foundation is seeking to help through its partnerships with new, existing and expanded community programming.
Our Mission
Children deserve the opportunity to grow physically, academically and emotionally through the loving guidance of a parent, guardian or mentor. Impressionable young minds learn by observing others, especially adults. And that's the innate strength of a role model - a person or group whose presence can lead to a defining moment in the crossroads of every young person's journey. To give a child a chance is our expectation and to shape a child's life is our commitment - both lovingly given by the financial and supportive outreach of the Lynn Jones Foundation.
Lynn Says,
"No child can survive alone - not back then and certainly not today in our complicated society. Growing up I was lucky. My mother was always there for us. She taught us responsibility, respect for others and a belief in ourselves. Outside the home we had neighbors, friends, and teachers who never backed away from serving as our role models. Unfortunately, all children and teenagers don't have this level of support. They are the reasons we launched the Lynn Jones Foundation. It isn't about what us or what we're doing. It's about what we're doing for the young people. It's all about the kids."
